HondaVac Vacuum Cleaner = No more Interior Car Washes?

Shopvac vacuums are not just for your garage any more. The next best thing is on the horizon; Honda is slated to release a 2014 Touring Elite model Odyssey with an optional vacuum cleaner, an industry first!  Co-developed with ShopVac, the HondaVAC  comes with various attachments, a replaceable Shopvac filter and canister bag, plus a hose they claim can reach virtually any area of the interior. I can only hope this feature filters down to various makes and models, because I can’t stand staring down stale French fries, loose change and other unmentionables stuck in hard-to-reach places in my car much longer. We’re confident that it’s quality will be top-notch, as is their extensive line of popular products that we carry replacement parts for, like the ShopVac Wet Dry cartridge filter. Crucial Vacuum is slated to provide parts for the HondaVAC in the future, so be sure to check our website for availability.

I was waiting patiently for an entry-level vehicle with a fridge in it, but it seems like that option will be exclusive to luxury rides for the foreseeable future. Check out our extensive line-up of Shopvac Bags and Shopvac filters and stay tuned for the Hondavac vacuum filter coming to our website soon!

Oreck goes Bankrupt – Get your Oreck Vacuum Bags Here!

Oreck vacuum bags may be getting difficult to find. Oreck declared bankruptcy recently, however the Oreck family recently made a proposed bid of about $22M(USA today) for Oreck Corporation, and are as of now, the only bidder. This is big news for Oreck jobs spread across the country (more than 96 retail stores and franchised stores), because under current ownership, jobs have gone offshore.

Tom Oreck, former CEO and the son of founder David Oreck, said that his family’s goal is to “get the company back to its roots so it can be run based on family values, with a focus on U.S. manufacturing and a U.S. workforce.” Under current ownership, Oreck says emphasis has been removed from direct sales, which has been a company tradition for decades.

From our industry experience, the Oreck XL vacuum cleaner has been one of the best selling vacuum cleaners in the USA. So there’s a lot of saturation in the market, which means people are going to count on us to deliver them our branded oreck bags at a great price! We have a universal oreck bag which fits ALL Oreck XL vacuum cleaners ever made!

It’s The Small Things That Make a Big Difference

It has been almost a month since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The school, the town of Newton, CT and the nation is still recovering from the devastation and heartbreak.

When any tragedy happens it’s sad, but this one we felt very close to our hearts given that it happened at a elementary school. For us at Crucial Vacuum, it was a difficult day but our business had to carry on. While we were picking and packing orders and doing what we do to WOW our customers, we came across an order for Pam, a resident of Newtown, CT. Abdul, our warehouse manager said “I would like to write Pam a caring message regarding what happened in her town.” I liked the way Abdul was thinking and gave him the OK to do it!

Abdul wrote Pam the following:

“Our prayers and thoughts go out to you guys” All of the warehouse employees signed it and off the 25-pack of Crucial Vacuum Miele Vacuum Cleaner bags went.

Then yesterday, we received an email from Pam. She wrote:

Thank-You-Letter-Crucial-Vacuum

This is why we strive to make our customers happy. It’s the small things that make a big difference.

Again, our hearts go out to those still struggling through the aftermath —may all beings be free from suffering

Fast Company Magazine Features Crucial Vacuum – Hurricane Sandy Aftermath

The true test of  character is how they stand during test of adversity – Unknown

After Hurricane Sandy broke our routine, we’re picking up business and going back to our normal work flow. The way we worked through Hurricane Sandy was a story to tell. Crucial Vacuum is featured in Fast Company magazine telling our story on how our team managed to work through the devastation.  The article speaks about the obstacles that Chad (our CEO) and the Crucial Vacuum team members joined at his home to fielding requests for our customers.  It also explains the uniqueness of our business model with our own brand vacuum parts and how Sandy disrupted it.

Without further ado, click the link below and scroll down to the Crucial Vacuum paragraph:

We’ve been very proactive with our customers through every step of the Sandy impact.

1. Facebook & Twitter have been updated throughout the process.

2. The header on our site was constantly updated and linked customers to more information on how the storm impacted our orders. www.crucialvacuum.com
The blog as you saw had been updated to further reach our customer audience.

3. We reached out to thousands of customers via email starting from 10/25 and continue to let them know about potential delays.

We are extremely proud of how the Crucial Vacuum team handled this crisis.  Our primary goal was to deliver the product our customers ordered and we did that by any means we had. Hurricane Sandy was a great test for Crucial Vacuum and the characteristics of the company truly shined in a time of a natural disaster.
