What Are Your Dust Bunnies Doing in Your Vacuum Bag?

Talking about dust bunnies is like a taboo.

You don’t want to think about them, speak about them or acknowledge their presence. However if you haven’t change your vacuum bag in a while, the dust bunnies you’ve collected have been multiplying and growing. Although they may look like harmless hair and dust, studies show that bacteria, mold, and other organism are lurking.

Hair and dust are great sources for bacteria and other organism to leach onto. Remember in 8th grade science class when you collected samples from everywhere and swabbed it on a petri dish and the next day, it was infected with bacteria growth? The dark environment within your vacuum bag is also the perfect home for organism to multiply. HondaVac Vacuum Cleaner = No more Interior Car Washes?

Shopvac vacuums are not just for your garage any more. The next best thing is on the horizon; Honda is slated to release a 2014 Touring Elite model Odyssey with an optional vacuum cleaner, an industry first!  Co-developed with ShopVac, the HondaVAC  comes with various attachments, a replaceable Shopvac filter and canister bag, plus a hose they claim can reach virtually any area of the interior. I can only hope this feature filters down to various makes and models, because I can’t stand staring down stale French fries, loose change and other unmentionables stuck in hard-to-reach places in my car much longer. We’re confident that it’s quality will be top-notch, as is their extensive line of popular products that we carry replacement parts for, like the ShopVac Wet Dry cartridge filter. Crucial Vacuum is slated to provide parts for the HondaVAC in the future, so be sure to check our website for availability.

I was waiting patiently for an entry-level vehicle with a fridge in it, but it seems like that option will be exclusive to luxury rides for the foreseeable future. Check out our extensive line-up of Shopvac Bags and Shopvac filters and stay tuned for the Hondavac vacuum filter coming to our website soon!
