Healthy Lifestyle Tips to Increasing Positivity

Every day, we move from place to place, repeating our patterns of eating, consuming, working, playing and sleeping. While the repetition can become tedious, and blur our days into streams of boring weeks, we sometimes forget how to live a healthy lifestyle.

We have a set of lifestyle tips that will help turn each day in a positive light, to make it easier for you and those around you as positivity is of the utmost importance in a healthy lifestyle.

Saying “Okay” instead of “K” or “No”

healthy lifestyle tips okay“No” is an incredibly easy word to say. Do you find yourself uttering the word so quick you no longer remember what was initially asked? Instead of saying No, try saying “Okay.” Okay is such an easy word to utter that can really change someone else’s mood. It spreads positivity as it may allow you to make new experiences, be a good friend, or even find love in an unsuspected place.

Now don’t mix up “okay” with “K.” With the generation of the “quick texters,” “K” is not a quick synonym for “okay” but rather a quick, rude version of “alright, conversation over, I understand what you said.” This can truly deter people from wanting to reach out to you. K inspires negativity with a false face. So remember, try saying “okay.”

When we buy something, it’s obvious that we should toss it out once we got our use out of it, right? Coffee grounds can do so much more than fill us with caffeine. This is a habit a lot of us are guilty of, and Crucial Vacuum is here to show you alternative uses for your old coffee grounds that will probably make you slap your forehead in shame for tossing out your old grounds all this time.

 

Keep your used coffee grounds in the kitchen

  1. As the grounds still give off a pleasant smell, you can use your grounds to deodorize your fridge.
  2. Grab a rag and scrub your grounds against your pots, pans and tools to get rid of that tough grime. (Do not use on ceramic or easily stained dishes)
  3. Rub on your hands after cutting onions or other strong odor food products to get rid of the odor.
  4. Mix with boiling water and dish soap; you can use it to unclog your drains.

Pack only the essentials

As a new college student, it’ll be very tempting to bring your entire bedroom to college, but college is the time for learning who you’re going to be for the rest of your life. So bring what you need and leave some room for a new you!

  • Bring clothing, toiletries, and all the important “necessary to live” items that your parents call practical.  Also think about all the types of weather you may face. Be sure to leave winter clothing at home or bring it if you visit home before winter break.
  • Do not bring a lot of posters, stuffed animals, high school trophies, or anything that turns the room into your old bedroom. Instead, invent and grow over the months at college!

So don’t worry, college will introduce you to new interests that will fill your bare walls and shelves.
